FOR NEW JERSEY CARDHOLDERS ONLY:

Please note the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL), is changing its benefit payment process for Unemployment Insurance (UI), Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) and Family Leave Insurance (FLI).

Look for mail from NJDOL's new debit card provider regarding this important change to the way you will receive future benefits.

  • What's happening: After May 18, 2022, your Bank of America debit card will no longer receive new benefit payments from the NJDOL for UI, TDI & FLI because NJDOL is transitioning to a different debit card provider. You may continue to use your Bank of America debit card as usual to access existing funds until August 26, 2022.
  • What you need to do: Prior to August 26, 2022, you may use your card as you normally do. Your card will be deactivated on August 26, 2022. For an additional month, until September 26, 2022, you will be able to transfer any remaining funds to an existing checking or savings account, by selecting the "Transfer funds" option within this site or mobile app. If there are funds remaining in your card account after September 26, 2022, you will need to contact us via our contact number that is located on the back of your card to obtain the remaining balance by paper check.

For further information concerning benefit claim activities and payments occurring after May 18, 2022, please visit NJDOL at nj.gov/labor/bank
