The Employment Development Department (EDD) has changed banks, and is now issuing unemployment, disability, and paid family leave benefit payments to a Money Network prepaid debit card. Learn more at edd.ca.gov/Debitcard

As of February 15, 2024, EDD stopped funding new benefits onto Bank of America prepaid debit cards. As a result of this change, Bank of America prepaid debit card accounts will be closed by May 5, 2024.

What you need to know

  • You may retrieve any funds that remain in your Bank of America prepaid debit card account by contacting our Service Center at 866.692.9374 to request a check.
  • Statements are available online for up to 12 months following account closure. Download your account statements if you wish to review your transactions after such time. Limitations may apply.
